FAQ

Good questions, answered.

Everything you might want to know before commissioning a custom piece. Still wondering about something?

Ask us directly

Everything we make is custom. There is no such thing here as one-size-fits-all. Each piece is designed and built around your space, your style and the way you will use it, so no two are ever quite the same.

Our studio is in Jersey City, New Jersey. We have served the greater New York design community for over 20 years, designing, building, delivering and installing across Hudson County, Hoboken, Manhattan, Brooklyn and the wider New York City and northern New Jersey area. If you are nearby and not sure whether we cover you, just ask.

Absolutely. Shlomo regularly collaborates with architects, interior designers and project managers, and is happy to work from their drawings and specifications. We also work directly with homeowners and business owners who come to us on their own.

Dining and occasional tables, cabinetry and kitchens, media units and shelving, desks and home offices, retail and commercial casework, and millwork for spaces such as synagogues. If it can be designed and built, we would like to hear about it.

We work in fine hardwoods and veneers such as walnut, oak, mahogany, cherry and figured burl, and combine them with materials like marble, glass, brass and steel when a design calls for it.

It begins with a conversation about your idea. We move from there into drawings and material selections, refine the design with you, then build the piece by hand in the workshop before delivering and installing it. You can read more on our process page.

It depends on the size and complexity of the piece and our current workload. After our first conversation and once the design is agreed, we will give you a realistic timeline before any work begins.
